Okay, Little Rock is still mostly uneaten, and no credit will be given to the pork chop I ordered at the cozy  Hillcrest (or is it the Heights - it's on that curve in the middle by Hocotts) upscale restaurant simply named SO.  I don't know why it's named SO. I can ask the owners if you like - they are new friends of mine -  but I personally don't care, so long as the staff remains polite and efficient, the drink list remains crazy long and the quality and quantity of the food remains extreme... Like the pork chop I ordered Saturday night. Wow.

This thing was two knuckles tall, about a DVD wide and tender as a baby's tickly tummy. Not only that, it was seared, juicy, and served with sweet and spicy whole-raspberry chipotle all over it. My word, I could not even eat half of it.

On the side, there were potatoes au gratin, but not these half-dollar slices like you get on the buffet or in the Betty Crocker box. Nope, I'm pretty sure they took a whole, fresh, fully grown potato and sliced it dime-thin, threaded the sauce through, arranged her back in a thick stack, then baked her to eyes-rolling-back-in-your-head perfection.

Since I couldn't finish, it made a fine breakfast as well. I only wish I had a photo of this dish, but the couple of times I gazed upon it, my hands were instantly busy helping it into my face and had no thought of picking up a photographic device.
