The Benefits Administrator will assist the Human Resources Department. Applicants must be able to prioritize and work independently on multiple diverse projects.
General HR Administration: Responsible for all employee file setup, onboarding and maintenance, I-9 files, and new-hire forms. Handles employment verifications, written requests, and other correspondence. Responsible for all government reporting, such as New Hire Reporting, EEO Reporting, and VETS100A Reporting. Maintains Affirmative Action Plan. Works with HR team to plan and implement employee activities, events, and other strategic plans.
Benefit Administration: Serves employees as a liaison to benefit providers and TPA. Assists employees with medical claims resolution. Maintains benefit records and plan documents to ensure compliance with government regulations. Coordinates with the Finance Department in relation to benefits-related payroll deductions. Provides HSA and FSA administration. Organizes open enrollment meetings. Reconciles all benefits statements. Supports retirement plan administration. Processes FMLA and other leave-of-absence requests.
This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or in a related field
- 3+ years of benefit administration experience
- Comprehensive understanding of government laws and regulations, such as HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA, and OFCCP
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Excellent writing and language skills, including grammar, punctuation, and document formatting
Preferred Skills
- Certification in Human Resources (PHR)
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)

The Wellness Director will assist in the development, coordination and revision of the wellness program. He will establish a relationship with and serve as a liaison to professional counselors, physicians and organizations involved in the treatment of Garver staff. Duties also include development, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the Garver Wellness Program and initiatives. Travel to Garver’s regional offices will be required at least annually.
The Wellness Director will be a “champion” for Garver’s wellness program. This will include but not be limited to: introducing employees to the program; coordinating and administrating annual wellness screening; encouraging participation; design and implement preventative programs and activities; and acting as a resource to employees for:
• Designing fitness and exercise programs;
• Giving nutritional advice;
• Development of behavior change plans;
• Helping in tobacco cessation efforts;
• Following up with employees with active health issues and providing associated counseling;
• Designing and leading group exercise activities.
The corporate RN or APN will offer care for non work-related health issues through the Garver Wellness Clinic and in that care; obtain, evaluate, and record medical histories, perform physical examinations, order necessary testing for routine and acute health care evaluations, analyze and interpret data, formulate problem lists, and establish appropriate plans for management of clinical problems, initiate necessary consults to specialists and other health professionals, establish physical eligibility / limitations for patients participating in health programs, counsel patients regarding health related matters: treatments, medications, diet and other issues as required, provide management for acute and chronic illness, prescribe necessary medications, as authorized by law, to remit.
Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, maintaining confidentiality at all times under HIPAA, maintaining an organized, functional and professional working environment, monitoring and helping measure the return on investment for the companies’ wellness efforts, and following established and appropriate medical record keeping capabilities consistent with prudent medical provider standards.Minimum Requirements
