1. For vacation in Arkansas, what's the place that's always in the running?
Mountain View, Eureka Springs.

2. Pick your favorite Arkansas pastimes - put them in order from "best" to "not best" and make up your own... Water activities, fishing, hunting, shopping, sports (playing or watching), camping, horses, ATVs, or something else.
Swimming, photography, shopping, live music

3. Do you usually vacation by yourself, with friends, church or family, with a gang of family and/or something else?
Almost always with family

4. How involved are you in city/county news & politics? Do you attend county or city meetings? Have you ever contacted local officials? Is there a particular issue that has your interest?
For local stuff going on, I'm usually well-informed. I read the paper, watch tv news, monitor my local feeds including social media, and word of mouth is always fun. I've been to city council meetings and they're not a blast, but if you pay attention, you'll end up being interested. A couple of local issues that interest me are making Saline County wet, and solving the problem of homeless youth.

5. Do you pay attention to state news and politics? Do you get state news from tv news, news websites, blogs, social media or some other way?
I get newspaper clippings, Internet alerts, and have feeds monitoring state news. I'm up on the main goings on, but I'm not into keeping up with deaths and robberies.

6. Neighbors: How close do they live to you? Do you know the names of the ones around you? Do you talk or meet on a regular basis?
I live in a regular neighborhood with the next house about 20 or 30 feet away on either side. I know the names of a few of neighbors, but there are others that I have no idea who they are. We definitely see each other as we drive up and down the street, but I feel like we need a block party or something to get everyone closer.

7. Neighborhood: Do you have a neighborhood association or other meetings like a crime watch or block party? Is there a park nearby?
Hey, I was just talking about that in number 6! Good idea! The closest park is a couple of miles away and across a few busy streets. Not walkable.

8. What kind of shopping and dining is in your area? Second-hand shops? Is there more than one grocery store? A farmer's market?
Not any upper scale, but Penneys, Kohls, Target, Starbucks, most fast food, some good chain restaurants, a great locally-owned eateries.

9. What do you do on a typical weekday? Ex: Kids to school, work, get kids, dinner, tv, sleep.
Pretty much the example given above, except add "build Internet empire" and imagine less sleep.

10. What do you do on a non-vacation weekend? During the cold weather/hot weather/other?
There's nearly always some event we want to go to. We also see family, go to the park, take a little photography adventure, or... you know, the laundry, the grass, the dishes...
